daily something
In yesterday's newsletter (click here to read) I introduced a project I am working on called daily something.
Here's the short version: the idea is to develop a daily creative habit of some sort focused on everyday stories. Each day of our lives presents us with hundreds of different stories to tell - pick just one and make something quick and easy that keeps the focus on the story. Some days will have really long stories and others will be super short (just like some days you will have lots of time and other days it will be a struggle to fit it in). Check out the newsletter for more information + tips + related ideas.
The idea here is not to strive for a scrapbook masterpiece. Simply tell one story about your day.
I started a daily something Flickr group - check it out here and add your own creations to the group.
In addition I created a digital brush to use in Photoshop if you are interested (see a sample of it on my photo here): Download the daily something brush here.
This project is one of those learn as you go sorts of things. I hope to be adding tips and ideas from people (and from my own lessons learned) participating as we go along - such as different sizes for your foundation (love the idea of using notecards for your daily creations - thanks Kristi), or storing your creations in manilla folders by month - thanks Jen, or using a Bind-it-all to put them all together - thanks Violet).
Consider yourself invited to play.
